Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Learning and Development Leader for our Frisco City, AL lumber mill. You will develop SOPs, create training videos, and lead PBM and supervisor development while embedding safety and process discipline across the plant workforce.

You will partner with Plant and HR leadership to implement standardized procedures, measure onboarding and training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) in a work setting.
• Experience operating software programs and inputting data.

Responsibilities

• Create SOPs and training materials aligned with GP writing standards.
• Research current processes using data gathering through interviews and observation.
• Evaluate operational processes for technical requirements and improvements.
• Review documentation standards for accuracy and formalize procedures.
• Validate SOP accuracy by monitoring processes after implementation.
• Benchmark best practices with other Wood Products Training Leaders.
• Train leaders and employees on new SOPs and measure training impact.
• Track metrics for new processes and onboarding training.
• Support New Hire Orientation as needed and lead PBM training.
