Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Learning and Development Leader for our Frisco City, AL lumber mill. The role focuses on developing SOPs based on current processes, training teams, and improving procedures with a strong emphasis on safety and manufacturing excellence.

You will lead SOP creation, onboarding training, and PBM training, collaborating with plant leadership and HR. The position reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to HR, contributing to standardizing operations and employee

Qualifications

• Experience developing and validating SOPs in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience creating and delivering training programs and materials.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Create SOPs and training videos/presentations following GP standards by researching current processes.
• Evaluate operational processes to determine technical requirements.
• Review and formalize documentation standards and improve procedures.
• Validate SOP accuracy through ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with Training Leaders to benchmark best practices for the plant.
• Assist leadership with training on new SOPs and measure training effectiveness.
• Track performance metrics of new processes and onboarding training.
• Participate in New Hire Orientation as needed and lead PBM training for the team.
