Job summary

Hunter Defense Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager for our Geneva, Ohio manufacturing site.

You will partner with site leadership to manage the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, relations, performance management, and benefits administration. The role requires ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, implementing HR policies, and acting as the liaison with government agencies such as OFCCP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct Human Resources experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO) and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversees recruitment efforts, participates in interview/selection in coordination with site leadership.
• Provides guidance on employee relations, conducts investigations, and mediates conflicts.
• Administers performance reviews and advises on performance improvement plans.
• Implements policies and ensures compliance with labor laws; liaises with OFCCP and state agencies.
• Administers benefits programs and supports payroll processes for weekly and biweekly cycles.
• Manages new hire onboarding and coordinates training and development initiatives.
• Engages employees through site-wide programs to foster a positive culture.
