Job summary

MPI, a fast growing organization, seeks an HR Manager to lead strategy and operations across multiple Midwest manufacturing facilities. The role supports ~800 employees with a focus on employee and labor relations, talent development, and compliance.

The successful candidate will mentor 3–4 HR Generalists, partner with site leadership, and drive workforce planning, engagement, and performance programs. Travel to sites across the Midwest is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, labor relations or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing/unionized settings.
• 3+ years in HR leadership across multiple locations.
• Strong labor relations, contract interpretation, and union partnership.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational HR leadership for multiple facilities in the Midwest.
• Lead and mentor an HR Generalist team of 3–4 professionals.
• Partner with site leadership on workforce planning and engagement.
• Manage union and labor relations activities including contracts and grievances.
• Support investigations and corrective actions for employee relations issues.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Analyze HR metrics to improve organizational performance.
• Coordinate compensation, benefits, and performance reviews.
• Support change management during growth and restructuring.
• Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
