Job summary

Time Manufacturing Company is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR strategy across multiple manufacturing facilities in the Midwest, based at the Pocahontas, IA site.

You will partner with plant leadership to drive workforce initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, manage payroll and HR data in ADP, and coach supervisors on performance management.

The role requires about 20% travel and a proven track record in manufacturing HR, with a strong business acumen and Excel analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent progressive HR experience (7+ years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage, including payroll, employee data management, and reporting.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% to manufacturing sites.
• Strong business acumen within manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of production workforce dynamics (hourly, shift-based, skilled trades)
• Ability to influence front-line supervisors and plant leadership
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnership with Operations: Partner with Plant Managers and operational leadership to support production goals, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Employee & Labor Relations: Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters across multiple facilities; conduct workplace investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• HR Compliance: Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including multi-state requirements; maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, and other regulations.
• Compensation, Benefits & Workforce Analytics: Manage payroll, timekeeping, and HR data through ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage; support compensation administration and merit planning; analyze turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and productivity.
• HR Operations & HRIS Management: Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity across multiple locations; ensure consistency and compliance across sites.
