Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing HR Coordinator in Saint Joseph, MI to support daily HR duties in a fast-paced plant environment. The role focuses on hourly staff, onboarding, payroll data entry, and compliance, reporting to the HR Manager.

You will collaborate with staffing agencies and internal teams to staff production roles, manage HRIS data, and assist with training and employee relations. This onsite role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; post-education is highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a similar human resources role.
• Experience supporting HR functions in manufacturing environments.
• Well-rounded HR generalist background.
• Experience recruiting general labor positions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for hourly personnel and production leaders on attendance, policies, performance, and general inquiries.
• Partner with the HR Manager and third-party staffing agencies to recruit for hourly manufacturing positions, complete new-hire paperwork, and facilitate onboarding/orientation.
• Handle data entry into payroll and HRIS systems, support timekeeping/payroll processes, maintain accurate employee records.
• Assist with compliance audits, ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, track required employee training, and help administer FMLA, leaves of absence, and Workers’ Compensation.
• Lead employee recognition, wellness programs, and team event planning, while overseeing operational tasks like managing the uniform program and third-party vendor.
