Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc in St. Joseph, MI seeks a Manufacturing HR Coordinator to support a fast-paced production team. This generalist role covers attendance, onboarding, payroll data entry, compliance, and employee relations with no travel and no remote work.

You will partner with the HR Manager, handle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions, maintain HRIS records, and contribute to wellness and recognition programs while enjoying weekday hours and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; post education is highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a similar human resources role.
• Experience supporting HR functions in manufacturing environments.
• Well-rounded HR generalist background.
• Experience recruiting general labor positions.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Daily staff and leadership support for attendance, policies, performance and inquiries.
• Recruiting and onboarding for hourly manufacturing roles with third-party agencies.
• HRIS, payroll data entry, timekeeping support, and employee record maintenance.
• Assist with compliance audits, labor law adherence, training tracking, and leave management (FMLA, leaves of absence, Workers’ Compensation).
• Lead employee recognition, wellness programs, and events; manage the uniform program and vendor relations.
