Job summary

United Future in St. Joseph, MI is seeking a Manufacturing HR Coordinator to support hourly staff and production leaders in a fast-paced plant. You will recruit, onboard, enter payroll data, and maintain HRIS while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

You’ll also drive employee relations, recognition, wellness initiatives, and coordinate benefits and leave administration in a no-weekends environment with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; post education is highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a similar HR role.
• Experience supporting HR in manufacturing environments.
• Well-rounded HR generalist background.
• Experience recruiting general labor positions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Daily staff and leadership support for attendance, policies, and inquiries.
• Recruiting and onboarding for hourly manufacturing roles with third-party agencies.
• Manage HRIS, payroll data entry and records, timekeeping support.
• Assist with compliance audits, labor law adherence, and training tracking.
• Oversee culture initiatives, recognitions, wellness, and events.
• Administer benefits, leaves, and Workers’ Compensation support.
