Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support Barracuda transfer from HQ to Arsenal-1, standing up high-rate production and processes for complex electromechanical assemblies.

The role involves reading drawings, detailing documentation, and partnering with senior engineers to optimize lines and implement MES-driven improvements. Training in Costa Mesa, CA for up to 2 months is provided, with relocation required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or complex hardware production environments.
• Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; understanding of DFM, work instructions, and tooling.
• Hands-on hardware assembly experience (mechanical assembly, cable/harness, soldering).
• Familiarity with production documentation systems and MES platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to critical pushes.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing of Barracuda products and sub-assemblies with complex electromechanical integration.
• Maintain build documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, and process specifications; flag gaps for resolution.
• Support RCCA and 5-Why investigations on floor issues; collect data and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production metrics (takt time, cycle time, yield, defect rates) and surface trends.
• Assist in line optimization by identifying waste and bottlenecks for efficiency.
• Support MES data entry and ensure real-time production traceability.
• Apply Lean tools (5S, standard work) to keep workstations organized.
• Participate in technology transfer as production moves to Arsenal-1 and validate processes.
• Communicate manufacturing constraints to design and engineering teams.
