Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Barracuda production transfer from HQ to Arsenal-1. You will execute complex assemblies, maintain build docs, and analyze production data while learning new processes on the floor.

The role requires hands-on hardware skills, ability to read drawings, and a mindset focused on quality. Initial training is in Costa Mesa, CA with relocation supported.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or complex hardware production environments.
• Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; foundational understanding of DFM, work instructions, and tooling.
• Hands-on experience building hardware (mechanical assembly, cable/harness fabrication, soldering).
• Familiarity with production documentation systems (work instructions, MBOMs) and MES platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA for initial training.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing of Barracuda products and sub-assemblies with complex electromechanical integration.
• Maintain build documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, and process specs.
• Support RCCA and 5-Why investigations; collect data and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production metrics and surface trends to engineering teams.
• Assist in line optimization to reduce waste and bottlenecks.
• Support MES data entry and ensure real-time status and traceability.
• Apply 5S and standard work to keep workstations organized.
• Participate in technology transfer as production moves from HQ to Arsenal-1.
• Communicate manufacturing constraints to design and engineering.
