Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support Barracuda production transfer from HQ to Arsenal-1 in Ohio, standing up new high-rate processes. You’ll work on complex assemblies, document control, data collection, and yield improvements.

The role requires relocation to Costa Mesa, CA for up to 2 months of training; housing and transportation are provided. You will learn from senior engineers and bring excellence back to Ohio.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or complex hardware production.
• Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T foundational understanding of DFM, work instructions, and tooling.
• Hands-on experience physically building hardware — mechanical assembly, cable/harness fabrication, soldering, or similar.
• Familiarity with production documentation systems (work instructions, MBOMs) and willingness to learn MES platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing of Barracuda products and sub-assemblies involving complex electromechanical integration.
• Follow build documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, and process specs; flag gaps to senior engineers.
• Support RCCA and 5-Why investigations; collect data, document findings, and help implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production metrics (takt time, cycle time, first-pass yield, defect rates) and surface trends.
• Assist in line optimization by identifying waste and bottlenecks in assigned areas.
• Support MES data entry and ensure real-time production status and traceability.
• Apply 5S and standard work to maintain organized workstations and cells.
• Participate in technology transfer as production moves from HQ to Arsenal-1.
• Communicate manufacturing constraints to design and engineering teams.
