Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Barracuda production transfer from HQ to Arsenal‑1 in Ohio and to help stand up high‑rate manufacturing lines.

You will work on complex electromechanical assemblies, document work instructions, and analyze production data to improve yield and throughput. The role requires relocation to Costa Mesa, CA for training, with housing and transport provided during the stay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or complex hardware production.
• Degree in an engineering or technical field preferred, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; foundational understanding of DFM, work instructions, and tooling.
• Hands-on experience physically building hardware—mechanical assembly, cable/harness fabrication, soldering, or similar.
• Familiarity with production documentation systems (work instructions, MBOMs) and willingness to learn MES platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing of Barracuda products and sub-assemblies involving complex electromechanical integration.
• Follow and maintain build documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, and process specifications; flag gaps to senior engineers.
• Support RCCA and 5-Why investigations; collect data, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production metrics and surface trends to the engineering team.
• Assist in line optimization by identifying waste and bottlenecks.
• Support MES data entry and ensure real-time production traceability.
• Apply Lean tools to maintain organized workstations and production cells.
• Participate in technology transfer as production moves to Arsenal-1.
