Job summary

Toast is seeking a Hybrid Development Representative in the United States. This entry-level sales role develops the next generation of Account Executives through Toast Sales Academy, with a clear path from HDR to AE over 12–18 months.

You will conduct high-volume outreach, qualify opportunities, and coordinate handoffs to Account Executives, while embracing a growth mindset and long-term commission-based goals.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English, reading, writing, and speaking.
• Long-term goal to become a full-cycle Account Executive and work in a commission-based role.
• Able to handle rejection and stay motivated with high activity targets.
• Demonstrates a growth mindset and willingness to take feedback.
• Strong organizational skills to manage 100+ daily outreach activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for high-volume outreach.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume outreach to prospective businesses to determine mutual fit for Toast's all-in-one digital platform.
• Complete at least 100 high-quality outreach activities daily (calls, emails, social touches).
• Host qualification calls to understand needs and qualify opportunities for Account Executives.
• Schedule meetings for qualified prospects and hand off to the appropriate Account Executive.
