Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the physical aspects of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role involves handling work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting property upkeep across Greystar managed communities.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions for all Service Technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policy, safety standards, and codes.
• Executes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-in inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Manages materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying maintenance about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage, and assisting with overall property upkeep.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
