Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and managing make-ready tasks for vacant units.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory management, and completing documentation. The position supports safety programs and may involve inspecting contractor work and assisting with routine property inspections.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certification required (Type 1 & II or Universal).
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property.
• OSHA safety training and compliance knowledge.
• Ability to perform maintenance and basic repairs per code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the 'make-ready' process for vacant apartments by inspecting, creating a punch list, and coordinating vendors.
• Tracks inventory and notifies maintenance supervisor for re-ordering supplies.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
