Job summary

Greystar in New York, NY, is hiring a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the physical aspects of buildings, grounds, and amenities meet safety and company standards. You will handle work orders, preventive maintenance, and the make-ready process for vacant homes.

The role requires staying compliant with OSHA safety policies, strong documentation, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the defect or problem and making repairs per policy, safety standards, and code requirements
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and ensuring tasks are completed
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, and notify supervision for re-ordering needs
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure proper recording and tracking
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently
