Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet safety and cleanliness standards. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete the make-ready process for vacants.

The role covers material management, documentation, and general upkeep of common areas at Greystar managed properties. Responsibilities include processing work orders, coordinating vendors, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal required (applies to Certified Service Technicians).
• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property following policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the “make-ready” process for vacant apartments by inspection, punch list creation, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed and inspected.
• Manages materials, tools, inventory, and reporting of re-order needs to maintenance supervisor.
• Documents service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, pools, and common areas including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts rather than replacing when feasible and using materials judiciously.
