Job summary

Avenue5 Residential in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance tasks under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and property manager. You will perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service for residents and property image.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and current auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds as directed by supervisor.
• Carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass, door/lock, and tile repair.
• Proactive preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities for safety and cleanliness, identifying issues needing repair or replacement.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow removal, fires, floods) and participate in on-call after-hours maintenance.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership about issues; promote safety and risk management per rules.
• Promote customer satisfaction with cleanliness and curb appeal; interact professionally with residents and other stakeholders.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties; maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
• Adhere to all components of the company risk management program.
