Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Gilbert, AZ. You will perform a wide range of apartment and property maintenance tasks, addressing repairs and safety while delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires basics in carpentry and maintenance, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to read and communicate in English. Schedule varies Tue–Sat with housing discount and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds as directed by supervisor.
• Carry out general carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertops/cabinet replacement, doors/locks, tile repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance like siding, painting, lighting, pools, elevators as applicable.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness; address issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) as needed.
• Communicate issues promptly to maintenance leadership; follow safety protocols.
• Promote safety and risk management per company policies.
