Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a broad range of apartment and property maintenance tasks while ensuring top-notch customer service and curb appeal. You will collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and property manager to keep our properties in excellent condition.

The role requires hands-on maintenance and carpentry skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read and understand English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Address maintenance duties including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds per supervisor.Perform carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, and tile repair.
• Conduct preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator, etc.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and amenities to ensure safety and cleanliness; identify issues for repair or replacement.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate issues to leadership.
• Adhere to safety and risk management rules; participate in after-hours emergencies as required.
• Promote customer satisfaction with cleanliness and curb appeal; interact professionally with residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and agencies.
• Maintain professional demeanor and comply with uniform policy; support risk management program.
