Avenue5 Residential in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support apartment and property upkeep, ensuring high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry repairs, and routine maintenance per supervisor direction.

This role requires at least a high school diploma, 1 year in property management or related field, and strong customer service and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.

Responsibilities

• Address an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager.
• Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
• Maintain work orders to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings and amenities to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal, fires, and floods.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership on issues at the property.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
• Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance with timely response.
• Foster positive resident relations and professional demeanor.
