Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to perform essential maintenance across a garden-style community in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on keeping buildings, grounds, and amenities clean, safe, and functional, with on-call duties and a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, preparing units for leasing, inventory management, and documenting all tasks. Requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and compliance with safety

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
• All state/local certifications must be current and as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and does preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policy and safety standards.
• Prepares vacants for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Manages materials - tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing instead of replacing parts when possible and using tools correctly.
