Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain community buildings, grounds, and units in Asheville. You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and quality across all spaces.

You will manage make-ready tasks for turnover, order supplies, and assist in budgeting for repairs while adhering to Greystar standards and policies. A valid state license and EPA certification may be required depending on tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or building maintenance.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in apartments, grounds, and common areas.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units and lease preparations.
• Inspect work, ensure safety, quality, and compliance with policies and codes.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Participate in monthly preventative maintenance procedures and team safety meetings.
