Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain building systems and common areas at our Asheville area properties. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support make-ready processes for vacant units.

Responsibilities include inspections, materials handling, documentation, and collaboration with vendors. Eligible for onsite benefits and a range of incentive programs; EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal certifications for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Executes the make-ready process for vacant apartments including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Manages materials and equipment by tracking usage, returning items to storage, and notifying the supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents work orders timely and accurately for tracking and records.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities including cleaning and repairs as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
• Conducts routine property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns and reports findings.

Education
