Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our community in top condition and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely completion of requests.

We value 4–6 years of maintenance experience, strong customer service, and a broad skill set across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry. A valid Maryland driver’s license is required, and on-call rotation applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4-6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in at least one: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Solid troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems and recommend repairs.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good time management skills.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems. Including inspections and repairs.
• Direct mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors on assigned projects and control inventory of parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Provide high level of resident satisfaction through professional interactions.
• Maintain 24/7 maintenance coverage via rotating on-call schedule.
