Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the physical condition of our community and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete service requests in a timely manner.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, basic troubleshooting skills, and knowledge in electrical, plumbing or carpentry. EPA 608/Boiler certifications are preferred and entry training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Ability to perform repairs to standards within time limits.
• EPA 608/Boiler certifications or equivalent within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and lighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 maintenance coverage.
