Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the quality of our residential communities. You will diagnose and repair maintenance issues, handle resident requests, and coordinate with contractors to keep properties in top condition.

The role requires 4–6 years of experience, a high school diploma, and regionally relevant certifications (EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical). We offer career growth and competitive benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED graduate level.
• 4-6 years of maintenance experience.
• Certifications relevant to the region in which the technician works, for example: EPA 608, Boiler Certification, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair are obtained within 9 months of employment or promotion.
• Required training for Maintenance Tech I completed within 9 months of hire/promotion date. Required training for Maintenance Tech II completed within 12 months of hire/promotion date.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems. Includes inspections and repairs.
• Directs mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors on assigned projects and controls inventory of parts and equipment.
• Ensures safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed.
• Delivers high resident satisfaction through responsive, positive, and professional interactions.
• Rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 maintenance coverage.
