Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve the property's physical condition and deliver world‑class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage maintenance requests to ensure timely completion.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of maintenance experience, strong customer service skills, and knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry, with EPA 608 and boiler certifications. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-diagnosis abilities.
• Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and upkeep of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems; inspect and repair; direct contractors on projects.
• Ensure the company safety and environmental policies are followed.
• Deliver resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
