Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking an industrial maintenance professional to repair and maintain material handling equipment on site in a food production environment.

You will troubleshoot electrical and lighting issues, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, and document work in the CMMS. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1+ years in maintenance or 4 years of direct experience; technical credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years in industrial maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years direct maintenance experience.
• Technical diploma or associate degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of MHE; monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Install/repair electrical and lighting issues, dock doors, and dock plates.
• Perform PMs per manufacturer guidelines and schedules (oil changes, filter changes, calibrations, lubrication).
• Log time and materials in CMMS; interpret plans and manuals; follow work orders.
