Job summary

Liberty Military Housing is seeking a Service Technician I to perform maintenance and repairs in a multifamily community. You'll work across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances, handling resident-requested repairs within 24 hours while prioritizing safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• One or more years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Beginning level understanding in two or more basic trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, appliance repair.
• Working knowledge of appliances.
• Competent use of small hand and power tools and basic electrical, carpentry, painting and small machinery repair.
• Strong communication with coworkers, managers, vendors or residents.
• Basic computer skills (mobile device, PC).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
• Available for regular on-call work and emergency overtime.
• Be able to arrive on site within 60 minutes for service requests.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations for training and work.
• Able to meet physical requirements: lift/carry up to 65 lbs, extensive walking/standing, climb stairs/ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, painting, appliance, HVAC, and related systems.
• Apply basic skills in two or more trades to ensure quality homes and community.
• Carry out routine service repairs and preventative maintenance in homes, common areas, and grounds.
• Complete resident-requested repairs within 24 hours.
• Complete maintenance on vacant homes per LMH standards.
• Handle on-call service requests and emergency calls.
• Assist in routine inspections (QC, move-in, preventive maintenance, etc.).
• Maintain and clean common areas, maintenance shop, and trash/snow removal as applicable.
• Report maintenance concerns to supervisor.
• Update service requests using Yardi Mobile until closed.
• Use proper hand and power tools safely and follow OSHA and LMH policies.
