Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure building and grounds meet high standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role involves diagnosing issues, completing work orders, and performing make-ready tasks for vacant units.

The position requires basic trade skills, comfort with tools and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong customer service and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance or related experience.
• Proficient with basic handheld and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Trade certification/license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance per policy and code requirements.
• Handles make-ready tasks for vacant units and schedules vendors as needed.
• Manages inventory, materials, and returns; notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure traceability.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; assists in cleaning and painting tasks.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
