Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of our properties, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functional operations across buildings and amenities.

You will diagnose and repair resident requests, complete make-ready tasks, manage inventories, document work, and support routine inspections, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Completes assigned work orders and preventive maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Makes make-ready preparations for vacant units and coordinates vendors as needed.
• Keeps inventory, tracks materials and notifies re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; assists in painting and cleaning tasks.
• Strives to fix rather than replace parts to cut costs and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per safety standards.
• Prepares vacant apartments via make-ready inspections and punch lists.
• Obtains materials, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests in a timely, accurate manner.
• Assists in maintenance of grounds and amenities including cleaning and painting.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing when possible.

Education

EPA Type 1 & II or Universal refrigerant recycling

State & Local certifications

Valid driver’s license
