Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support our properties and deliver excellent resident service. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and make-ready tasks to ensure homes and common areas meet Greystar standards.

The role requires safe tool handling, basic carpentry and plumbing skills, and solid communication. On-site duties include upkeep of exteriors and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
• High level of professionalism in both manner and dress.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance following safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Tracks materials, inventories items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation so service requests are accurately recorded.
• Maintains grounds, common areas and amenities; assists with vendor management.
• Performs routine maintenance and inspections for equipment.
