Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain buildings, grounds, and amenities to Greystar standards. You will diagnose defects, repair systems, and complete make-readies for new move-ins, while following safety policies and procedures.

The role also involves inventory control and timely documentation of tasks. Expect to perform routine inspections, assist in maintenance projects, and participate in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property may be required.
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications as required for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are finished.
• Manages materials access and inventory, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents work promptly to allow proper service request tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, conducts cleaning and painting as needed to uphold property standards.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools correctly.
