Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical standards of our properties. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing issues, completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, and maintaining grounds and common areas to ensure safety and appeal.

Responsibilities also include documenting work orders, managing inventory, and supporting cost-control through repair-first approaches. EPA certifications and a valid license are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
• State and local certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet property standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling and supplies.
• Manages material access, tracks inventory, returns unused items and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents work performed promptly and accurately so requests are tracked.
• Supports grounds and amenities by basic cleaning, debris removal, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Drives cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible and using tools efficiently.
