Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is looking for a Maintenance Technician to care for apartment properties on-site. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance to keep units and common areas in top condition.

Responsibilities include handling electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, responding to emergencies, and maintaining safety standards while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address a range of apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by supervisor or manager.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds as allowed by state guidelines.
• Carry out preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pool, and related systems.
• Maintain the work order system and ensure orders are completed to standard and residents are satisfied.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, weather events, fires, floods) as needed.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership about issues.
