Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance duties and uphold high standards of customer service and curb appeal at the assigned property.

You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance, participate in emergency on-call rotations, and ensure safety and timely completion of work orders while communicating with maintenance leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor.
• Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds.
• Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and tile repair.
• Proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure orders are completed to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and common areas for safety and cleanliness and identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communication with maintenance leadership.
• Observe safety/risk management policies and participate in after-hours on-call maintenance.
