Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support apartment and property maintenance, ensuring quality customer service and curb appeal. The role involves repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds tasks, while upholding safety and company standards across the property.

You will handle preventative maintenance, manage work orders, and assist with emergencies, promoting a positive relationship with residents and teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• General maintenance and general carpentry skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds maintenance.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
• Engage in preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool and more.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and common areas to maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate issues to leadership.
• Maintain safety and risk management per regulations and company policy.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call assignments.
