Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Denver to perform a range of apartment and property maintenance duties under supervision. You will address repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance while upholding excellent customer service and curb appeal.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year in property management or related field, and hands-on maintenance and carpentry skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in property management or a related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds.
• Carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/door repair.
• Proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pool, and elevator.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and after-hours calls.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership about issues.
• Promote safety and risk management per policies and regulations.
• Foster a positive, professional relationship with residents and other properties.
• Maintain professional demeanor and adherence to uniform policy.
• Adhere to all components of the risk management program.
