Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance tasks on-site. You will uphold high standards of customer service and curb appeal while performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds work as directed by the maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities include completing work orders promptly, inspecting grounds for safety and cleanliness, and assisting with emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Perform maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as per state guidelines.
• Carry out general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities to uphold safety and cleanliness and identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow removal, weather events, fires, floods) and communicate issues promptly to leadership.
• Observe safety and risk management per local, state, and company rules; participate in after-hours emergency assignments as needed.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and curb appeal while interacting professionally with residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and agencies; maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
