Job summary

Greystar seeks a Service Technician in Austin to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet cleanliness, safety, and functionality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory management, and accurate documentation.

Role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses as applicable, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations. Expect a comprehensive benefits package and the possibility of bonus programs.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate on-property vehicles (golf cart, if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant homes for leasing via make-ready and punch list management.
• Tracks materials, inventory, and notifies supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and minor painting.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
