Job summary

Greystar in Austin, TX is seeking a Service Technician to maintain building systems, grounds, and common areas. The role emphasizes diagnosing, repairing, and completing work orders to meet safety and quality standards.

You will perform make-ready tasks for vacant units, track materials, and coordinate with vendors. The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, and OSHA training, with a flexible schedule including some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property where applicable.
• OSHA safety training and compliance with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing to policy and code.
• Performs make-ready tasks for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and scheduling vendors.
• Obtains materials and tracks inventory; notifies supervisor for re-orders as needed.
• Documents service requests and maintains accurate records.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans, pressure-washes, and paints as required.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts and using tools correctly.
• May inspect contractors' work to ensure quality and scope alignment.
