Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Austin, TX to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building components meet company standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready vacant units, managing materials, and documenting service requests.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling; state/local certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant units, conducts pre-move-out inspections, creates punch list, schedules vendors, and inspects work.
• Manages materials: tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests for tracking and accuracy.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; cleans and paints as needed; assists in cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts.
