Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Austin, TX to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building, grounds, and common areas meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making repairs, prepping units for occupancy, and maintaining inventory. EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and state/local certifications are required. Onsite housing discounts and robust benefits are available.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are required.
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications as required for Service Technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepares vacants for leasing and move-ins, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Manages materials, tools, inventory, and return of unused items.
• Documents work performed and maintains accurate records for service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
