Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant units. Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, ordering materials, and ensuring work meets safety and code standards.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, valid driver's license for on-site golf cart use, and compliance with state/local certifications. Offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing and repairing defects according to policies and codes.
• Performs make-ready tasks for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Manages materials and tools from maintenance by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor of re-order needs.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, cleans and paints as needed to uphold property standards.
