Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready units, managing materials, and maintaining outdoor areas.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance following policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and coordinating supplies
• Manages materials and inventory by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying leadership when re-ordering
• Documents service requests accurately to enable tracking and reporting
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using resources efficiently
• Conducts routine safety meetings, follows OSHA and safety laws, and reports incidents promptly
• Inspects contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with scope and specs
• Assists in property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management
