UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Person to care for community grounds and perform repairs on homes and lots. The role emphasizes safety, operating equipment efficiently, and delivering clean, safe, and visually appealing outdoor spaces for residents.

You will drive community vehicles, inspect areas, perform routine maintenance, and may assist with new home installations. A valid driver’s license and experience in grounds maintenance, plumbing, and heavy equipment are required.

Qualifikationen

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Broad experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and heavy equipment operation.
• Snow plow experience.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Drive UMH vehicles to inspect common areas.
• Record violations observed during inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain grounds (mowing, weed eating, leaves, snow plowing).
• Keep work areas clean and safe; ensure equipment is maintained and serviced.
• Take daily readings where required, and log all work performed.
• Assist with hazardous chemical safety training and follow the Hazard Communication Program.
• Operate power and hand tools safely.
• Communicate professionally with residents and coworkers.
