Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Person for the Fohl Village Community to maintain outdoor areas, perform repairs on community-owned homes and lots, and support new home installations as needed.

The role focuses on keeping grounds clean, safe, and visually appealing for residents and visitors. Responsibilities include inspecting common areas, operating power tools and heavy equipment, logging work performed, and adhering to the Hazard Communication Program.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Broad range of experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and operation of heavy equipment.
• Snow plow experience.
• Ability to prioritize safety in all job duties and attend periodic safety trainings assigned by UMH Properties.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently to complete job duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles through the community to inspect all common areas.
• Record violations observed during daily inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain community grounds including mowing, weed eating, leaves/debris, snow plowing and sidewalk clearance.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; ensure obstructions are cleared and equipment is properly stored.
