Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Person for the Fohl Village Community to keep outdoor areas clean, safe, and visually appealing for residents and visitors.

The role involves groundskeeping, basic repairs, and operating various tools and equipment in a community setting. The ideal candidate has experience in home repairs, plumbing, grounds maintenance, snow plow operation, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience in home repairs, plumbing, grounds maintenance and heavy equipment operation.
• Snow plow experience.
• Ability to prioritize safety in all job duties and attend periodic safety trainings.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to complete job duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and drive UMH vehicles to monitor common areas.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain grounds including mowing, weed eating, debris removal, and snow plowing.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; dispose of waste and maintain clear aisles and exits.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are serviced regularly.
• Take daily readings in communities where required and log work performed.
• Follow safety procedures and Hazard Communication Program.
