Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a part-time Maintenance staff member to perform community groundskeeping, general repairs, and upkeep of homes and lots across our communities.

The role requires operating UMH vehicles, adhering to safety standards, and providing reliable service in various weather conditions. Responsibilities include inspecting common areas, recording violations, maintaining homes and lots, mowing, snow removal, and assisting with new home installations as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in home repairs, plumbing, grounds maintenance and heavy equipment.
• Snow plow experience preferred.
• Safety trainings as assigned by UMH Properties.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles through the community to inspect common areas.
• Record observed violations during inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Mow lawns, weed eat, remove leaves, plow snow, and clear walkways.
• Keep work areas clean and safe and store tools properly.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are serviced regularly.
• Take daily readings where applicable and log work performed.
• Assist with new home installations as needed.
• Report to supervisors and communicate professionally.
